DEVONtechnologies updates popular freeware apps
Coeur d'Alene (Idaho, USA), November 13, 2013 — DEVONtechnologies, LLC releases maintenance updates for three popular freeware apps: the find-file utility EasyFind, the image converter ThumbsUp, and XMenu, which adds customizable menus to the menu bar.
EasyFind finds files and folders by name or content using advanced Boolean operators similar to DEVONthink, DEVONagent, and DEVONsphere Express, wildcards, and phrases. It requires no indexing, is fast, and uses very little memory. EasyFind 4.9.2 now comes with Russian and Dutch localizations, and scans the localized display name of applications.
ThumbsUp creates scaled images or thumbnails from dropped images, PDFs, or movies. Version 4.5.1 adds Gatekeeper and 64-bit support, revises the application menu, and improves the overall compatibility.
XMenu, finally, adds customizable menus to the menu bar that gives you access to installed applications, documents, text snippets, or almost anything you like. XMenu 1.9.6 adapts the menu handling to OS X 10.9 Mavericks and supports the new way additional developer software comes with Xcode 4 or later. All three new versions fix minor issues, too.
"We love the Mac and the Mac user community. Apps like EasyFind, ThumbsUp, or XMenu are our way to say thank you for your long-standing support! Of course we'll continue to offer them for free and update them when necessary," comments Eric Böhnisch-Volkmann, President of DEVONtechnologies.
