Coeur d'Alene (Idaho, USA), January 18th, 2018. — DEVONtechnologies updates all editions of its intelligent information and document manager DEVONthink for Mac with usability enhancements and bug fixes. Version 2.9.17 makes the web interface of DEVONthink Pro Office compatible again to current web browsers and improves importing email via drag-and-drop. It also adds support for tables created on iOS, facilitates cross-linking documents, and lets users search for PDF annotations and text entered into PDF forms. All four updates are free and recommended for all users.
DEVONthink is DEVONtechnologies' document and information management solution for the Mac. It supports a large variety of file formats and stores them in a database enhanced by artificial intelligence (AI). Many document formats can be directly viewed and edited, PDFs annotated. DEVONnote is DEVONthink's little sibling with a reduced feature set targeted at users with notetaking-centric needs.
Sophisticated organization tools, AI-based techniques that handle even the largest collections, and numerous integration options make DEVONthink the work environment of choice for researchers, lawyers, and educators. With its fast, reliable, and secure synchronization users keep their data available on all their Macs. DEVONthink To Go for iPad and iPhone completes the DEVONthink ecosystem.
- Keep your data together in one place
- Scan your paper, archive your email
- Let artificial intelligence help you file your data

New in DEVONthink and DEVONnote 2.9.17
Version 2.9.17 brings an updated web interface for DEVONthink Pro Office which allows users access their data again with current web browsers on Macs and Windows PCs. Importing email messages via drag-and-drop skips already imported messages, and not yet downloaded messages don't stop an email import anymore.
In addition, it's now possible in all editions of DEVONthink to insert a cross-link to other documents or groups into plain text or Markdown documents from the contextual menu. The inserted item link is a robust URL that works even across platform boundaries when the database has been synced to another Mac, iPad, or iPhone.
PDF annotations and text entered into PDF forms are searchable now, audio files resume playback, and stylesheets can customize the colors of Markdown documents. Finally, version 2.9.17 features a URL command for initiating a search and adds compatibility to tables created with DEVONthink To Go 2.4 or later on iOS. The update also improves the overall reliability and fixes bugs.
DEVONnote 2.9.17 receives the relevant enhancements and bug fixes from its siblings, too.
The updates for all editions of DEVONthink and DEVONnote are free for existings users and highly recommended.
