Am Donnerstag vergangene Woche überquerten Truppen der Russischen Föderation die Grenze zur freien und souveränen Nation Ukraine und begannen mit einer großangelegten Invasion. Das Konzept der Freiheit ist die Basis für alles, was wir sind und woran wir glauben. Diese Freiheit steht nun auf dem Spiel. This year we’ve sponsored the initiative 2North4South by All Shapes and Sizes, in part organized by Fred Sarran. Last weekend they did their non-stop 24 hour walk from from Fraserburgh in Scotland to Aberdeen. Watch a video about their great project on www.asascharity.org.
We’re again sponsoring Scottish sportsman Fred Sarran this year. Fred co-founded the charity All Shapes and Sizes in 2013, their initiative 2 North 4 South popup: true will undertake a 60 mile walk from Fraserburgh to Aberdeen to raise vital funds.
In summer 2013 we supported Fred Sarran’s great fundraising initiative Cycling for ALD (Adults with a Learning Disability). Fred cycled 450 miles in eleven days all around Scotland in support of the donations for Balnagask Court Arts, Crafts and Activities. (mehr)
Last Friday, Mar 11, 2011, Japan was struck by a catastrophic earthquake followed by a tsunami and the melt-down of at least two nuclear power cores with yet-unknown effects on life in the region. Official sources report more than 10,000 people dead and more than 500,000 homeless, but as of today the concrete number of victims is still unknown. (mehr)
In January DEVONtechnologies has joined the efforts of many independent software companies to help the victims of the earthquake that destroyed most of Haiti’s infrastructure on January 12, 2010, and made tens of thousands of people homeless.
