This maintenance release includes many updates to plugins and search sets. These include several news outlets, e.g., Reuters, the PubMed site, the Latest Software search set, and even the plugin for our DEVONthink Server edition. Unfortunately, due to underlying changes on some sites, we had to remove some, notably Google-related ones. However, we now use multiple search engines for certain features to help ensure good results. Beyond that, we made many fixes and improvements to make our application more reliable and efficient.

This maintenance release includes many updates to plugins and search sets. Unfortunately, due to underlying changes on some sites, we had to remove some, notably Google-related ones. However, we now use multiple search engines for certain features, e.g., for the See Also inspector, to help ensure good results. Beyond that, we made many fixes and improvements to make our application more reliable and efficient.

This maintenance release provides some performance updates. DEVONsphere Express now uses multiple search engines to improve the chance of returning results for web searches. DEVONsphere Express also better indexes third-party formats with Spotlight support as well as HTML and web archives. And the application can now dynamically manage its own CPU and disk-related activities, e.g., when the Mac runs on battery power.

DEVONthink 4.4 turns the AI assistant into a true co-worker. A new AI library lets you create, store, and sync roles, prompts, and skills that can trigger your smart rules, batch processes, and scripts on demand. In addition, the Chat assistant can use DEVONthink’s MCP tools directly and improved prompt caching makes multi-step tasks noticeably faster and much cheaper. Of course, we have also updated to the latest models of all major AI providers.

This maintenance release gives the selected item in the sidebar better contrast and no longer shows actions as icons if there’s just one action in the row. It also improves sync robustness and fixes a range of issues and crashes.

This release brings full support for M1-based Macs and modernizes the appearance of the toolbar. It also updates the Brazilian Portuguese localization and fixes known issues.

This update brings Neo Network Utility into the macOS Tahoe era with a refreshed design, including menu icons, pill-shaped buttons, and a modern tab view. We added support for concurrent tool usage in multiple windows, quick tool switching via menu or keyboard commands, and visual link status indicators. With location services enabled, you can also see the SSID and BSSID. In addition, we improved the user interface consistency, made more tool settings persistent, and reorganized the settings for clarity. We also fixed a few issues and removed the outdated Finger tool.

This release brings full support for M1-based Macs and improves the appearance of the Inspector palette. It also updates the localizations and reduces the bandwidth used for webcams.

This maintenance brings necessary adjustments for macOS Catalina. It also supports App Transport Security and installs itself into the Applications folder if necessary.
