This maintenance release delivers a bit new, a bit improved, and some fixes. New in the File > Export submenu is a command to export file metadata to JSON data. In Tools is a new Split PDF submenu that includes an into Pages command to split a PDF file into individual pages. The Document > Annotations inspector shows the color of ink annotations, e.g., freehand marks, you’ve made.

Today’s maintenance release addresses a few small issues discovered after the previous release. A regression kept global smart groups from updating automatically. Splitting PDFs didn’t modify the initial document. And renamed favorites didn’t always retain the change after relaunching.

This release includes several improvements and fixes. We’ve enhanced support for relative links in Markdown documents, allowing for spaces within the links. We also addressed an issue with list indentation. Previously, the Favorites section, e.g., within the Move To context menu, onlly displayed the first favorited item. We’ve resolved this, ensuring all favorited items are shown. Furthermore, we’ve improved document language detection. Finally, it wasn’t possible to navigate EPUB documents in the web interface via the table of contents, and DEVONthink unintentionally renamed images and PDF documents dragged via Universal Control.
