My preferences are set pretty much as they come out of the box, with one or two tweaks (for example, I want to trash the originals of any PDF files I import and run through optical character recognition). The DEVONthink Pro Office (DTPO) manual covers setting preferences in detail and of course these may change as I go along. (more)
OS X Yosemite, the newest incarnation of your Mac’s operating system, is about to be released. Version 2.8 prepares all editions of DEVONthink as well as DEVONnote for it with user interface adjustments and compatibility fixes. DEVONthink 2.8 also comes with a brand new sharing extension. It allows you to clip text and web addresses from other Mac apps with a single click in case you like this better than using drag-and-drop. (more)
Today’s update for DEVONthink To Go brings the grid view on iPad and iPhone Plus also to databases and smart groups. The grid view lets you show your documents as large icons and move and group them with drag-and-drop. Previously this was only possible within databases. (more)
