In the recent weeks we have released both DEVONthink’s new sync feature as well as a rewritten web interface for DEVONthink Pro Office as public betas via my blog. If you installed the plugins but are still unsure if you really exploit their potential check out our two new screencasts. Thirteen minutes well spent. Ray demonstrates how you can work on one database with multiple users on the local network and how you set up sync locations, e.g Dropbox, and keep your databases synchronized on all your machines. Save Yourself Lots of Clicks with DEVONthink and DEVONnote 2.8.4

DEVONthink and DEVONnote 2.8.4 are available. They let you move new documents into your databases more quickly. Save yourself a lot of now superfluous clicks by dragging files or folders to the application with the ⌘ Command modifier key pressed. It imports them and trashes their originals in one go. (more)

Beware of "DEVONthink" by J. Russell & R. Cohn

Amazon lists a book named “DEVONthink” by some Jesse Russell and Ronald Cohn. Don’t buy it! The book consists only of a collection of mostly unrelated Wikipedia articles and has absolutely nothing to do with our software. We have notified Amazon and the book-on-demand publisher about this issue and asked for the book to be withdrawn. (more)

DEVONthink To Go 1.5.5 with Bug Fixes

Today our update to DEVONthink To Go 1.5.5 became available in the App Store. The new version fixes e.g. crashes connected to broken databases on the Mac or to exporting data to the iTunes document folders (emergency export). For example databases without a valid UUID (universally unique identifier) could crash DEVONthink To Go. Update your copy from within the App Store app on your device or through iTunes. (more)
