This weekend Apple finally released DEVONthink To Go 1.5 to the App Store. Among many little changes the new version comes with a brand new iOS 8 extension for clipping data from many other apps. Unfortunately a bug crept into the code with a last-minute change that crashes the app after adding data to the database from e.g. the Clip to DEVONthink extension. (more)

DEVONthink To Go 2.2 is now available with Spotlight support. Find your documents from anywhere on your iOS device simply by swiping down from the top of the screen. The update automatically processes all present databases for Spotlight and keeps the index current in the background. (more)

Version 2.1.7 of DEVONthink To Go has just passed Apple’s review. It adds an option to clear the global inbox and makes the grid view available on all devices. The grid view lets you browse your document collection with larger previews and organize them with drag-and-drop, similar to the announced iOS 11. You activate the grid view by tapping the item count button of a group or by swiping right. (more)

DEVONthink 2.9.6, which we have just released, brings another bunch of workarounds for issues related to macOS Sierra’s broken PDF engine and scanner support. Both DEVONthink and DEVONnote also add new conditions to smart groups and honor metadata provided by ELO Office. The sharing extension for DEVONthink supports images, e.g., from web browsers, and uses less energy. Today’s update for DEVONthink To Go brings the grid view on iPad and iPhone Plus also to databases and smart groups. The grid view lets you show your documents as large icons and move and group them with drag-and-drop. Previously this was only possible within databases. (more)

We have told the great people at Readdle that our mobile users love the combination of their Scanner Pro app and DEVONthink to Go. Scanner Pro lets you use your iPhone’s or iPad’s camera for quickly scanning paper documents wherever you are. It applies all sorts of magic to make the document look as good as possible and then lets you share the created PDF with other apps. (more)

Our latest update to DEVONthink to Go, version 2.1.4, features a rewritten Action menu based on the standard iOS share sheet. Share text, images, or whole documents with as few taps as possible. Quickly print documents, copy a universal item link for them that you can use from any app that works with URLs, or capture web pages as web archives. (more)

Apple has just released DEVONthink To Go 1.4.3 to the App Store. The maintenance update makes the app display RTF documents again on iOS 8. Also, it brings new iOS-8-like visual style and fixes other minor glitches. (more)

DEVONthink To Go 2.1.3, which passed Apple’s review today and became available on the App Store, follows its Mac counterpart, and now also uses our own decluttering service when clipping web pages and articles. This way we’ve made it independent of third-party services and ready for future improvements. (more)
