We know how important a robust sync is. And so here’s another maintenance release for both DEVONthink for Mac as well as DEVONthink To Go. We’ve made synchronizing to e.g. WebDAV or Dropbox up to 3.7 times faster. Direct connections via the local network are more reliable now too and during a sync you can see which database is being synchronized. (more)
All our products come with a build-in documentation. It’s written in XML and compiled to HTML, PDF, and two ebook formats with a variety of tools. For DEVONthink To Go 2 we use the same workflow, just with another set of stylesheets that adopt the iOS look and make it work better in our own viewer. (more)
Another week, another update for DEVONthink. But this time we also have an update for DEVONthink To Go too. We’ve worked hard to make the synchronization on both platforms even more robust and enjoyable. For example you can now again connect securely to your own WebDAV server with self-signed certificates. On February 26th we announced that we’ll soon start beta testing DEVONthink To Go 2.0 with a limited number of testers. Today we added the first batch of testers to Test Flight. Over the course of the next weeks we’ll add batch by batch. (more)
Today Apple released our DEVONthink To Go 1.5.8 update to the App Store. The maintenance update fixes issues with RTF and RTFD due to changes in iOS 8.3 as well as a few rare crashes. Update your copy from within the App Store app on your device or through iTunes.
We promised to keep you updated on our progress with DEVONthink To Go 2.0 and our new sync technology. Two days ago we released beta 10 to our beta testers. The last new beta testers received their Test Flight invitations today. (more)
Since first mentioning DEVONthink To Go 2.0 more time has passed than we anticipated. We started to build our own sync technology including our own cloud service to use in both iOS and Mac versions of DEVONthink in 2013. Unfortunately our approach didn’t work out as expected and so we boxed the project in August 2015 to write an alternative sync from scratch. (more)
Today our update to DEVONthink To Go 1.5.5 became available in the App Store. The new version fixes e.g. crashes connected to broken databases on the Mac or to exporting data to the iTunes document folders (emergency export). For example databases without a valid UUID (universally unique identifier) could crash DEVONthink To Go. Update your copy from within the App Store app on your device or through iTunes. (more)
Today Apple finally released DEVONthink To Go 1.5.4 to the App Store. The maintenance update fixes a few nasty crashes related to the action extension as well as crashes on iOS 5.1.1. We have also corrected a 64-bit-related issue that led to garbled text in rich text documents with accented characters. (more)
Right before Thanksgiving, the official start of the holiday season in the States, we have put together a big bag of updates for almost all their apps. From DEVONthink to DEVONthink To Go, DEVONnote and DEVONagent, there are new convenient features as well as reliability and performance improvements. All eight updates fix minor bugs and glitches on the go, too. (more)
