DEVONthink & DEVONnote 2.6: Welcome, Mavericks!

July 11, 2013 — Eric Böhnisch-Volkmann

A few weeks ago Apple announced OS X 10.9 Mavericks and so here’s our first release of DEVONthink and DEVONnote optimized for the upcoming new version of your favorite operating system! But that’s, of course, not enough. DEVONthink 2.6 adds automatic updating of indexed folders, and directly imports references from Bookends and notes from Evernote.

DEVONthink 2.6 also introduces the new document type formatted note that can be viewed with any web browser, and — bloggers listen up! — supports rendering Markdown. Many menus of both DEVONthink and DEVONnote have been cleaned up for clarity, synchronizing DEVONthink databases is more reliable, and the integration with the new Open With mechanism of OS X has been greatly enhanced. This release also improves many other areas of the application and brings important bug fixes.

This release is recommended for all users of DEVONthink and DEVONnote.
