DEVONthink To Go, 2nd Try

October 16, 2010

I promised to keep you updated on any change in the review status of DEVONthink To Go. Yesterday our submission was rejected by Apple because in a very rare case two pop-up windows could appear at the same time. Nobody would ever step into this except for by accident but seems to be against the interface guidelines. We are preparing a general fix for this issue and will resubmit as quickly as possible. More soon on this channel.

Waiting at the Airport

October 12, 2010

While DEVONthink To Go is still ‘waiting for review’, we are using the time for our annual gathering, when the most of the team comes together from all over the world to talk about our plans for the forthcoming months. And as usual, the flights from North America to Europe are delayed. Thank god the sun is shining and the San Francisco Coffee Company at the Stuttgart Airport has great coffee, chocolate muffins, cold water, and free WiFi. (more)

From time to time I am publishing links to interesting articles mentioning DEVONthink and how it can be used e.g for implementing the paperless office. Here are some of the most interesting ones:

Some among you may have discovered that we were presumably not that interested in Jon’s ZX Spectrum BASIC programming skills. But, in fact, Jon Hjelle did really join our team, just like Alan Edwards. (more)

DEVONthink and DEVONnote Updated to 2.0.5

September 29, 2010

Just a quick note that we have today released version 2.0.5 of all editions of DEVONthink and of DEVONnote. The update adds, e.g., drag-and-drop support for images to the Take Note window, and if you have a trackpad that supports multi-finger gestures you can now also zoom in and out of images and PDFs with your fingers. We have fixed a few bugs, too. Use your applications’ built-in update function or download the new versions on our download page. (more)

DEVONagent, Now Always at Your Service

March 30, 2011

Do you also use the Google search field in Safari just because it is there, but you know that you would have better used DEVONagent? No more. DEVONagent 3.0 public beta 3 adds a menu extra to the right-hand side of the menu bar with a Spotlight-like menu that lets you (re-)search the Web from anywhere on your Mac. Click (or press the hotkey), enter your search term, and press Return. All results appear directly in the menu and you can open them in your web browser (or DEVONagent) with another click .You will love it!

Two weeks ago we have sent beta 10 to our beta tester community.
