Ammonite updated to version 1.6

March 23, 2011

Just a quick note that Ammonite has been updated to version 1.6. The new version can replicate results to a group in DEVONthink, shows the number of results in the window title, and can keep the search string when removing tags from the query. Ammonite is a stand-alone HUD (head-up display) giving quick access to the contents of your DEVONthink databases from any other application. (more)

Updates! We cannot get enough of them. And so we created a whole bunch of updates for you: DEVONthink, DEVONnote, DEVONthink To Go, EasyFind, and XMenu — with cool new features and tons of bug fixes. Especially when you’re using DEVONthink To Go you will like what we have submitted to Apple today. It’s not only much more robust, it also comes with voice and video notes now.

DEVONthink To Go Beta 10 Seeded

August 31, 2010

In case you are waiting for the release of DEVONthink To Go, our iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch companion to DEVONthink and DEVONnote: with Michael on board we have used the last four weeks for fixing all remaining issues making the app now as stable as we want it to be. So we have just seeded beta 10 to our closed team of beta testers with a long list of fixes and last-minute improvements. — and this is intended to be the last beta. So if all goes well we are now only running a few final tests and then push it to the App Store. We are firmly disposed to send version 1.0 to Apple earlier than later in September.

Japan Needs Our Help

March 14, 2011

Last Friday, Mar 11, 2011, Japan was struck by a catastrophic earthquake followed by a tsunami and the melt-down of at least two nuclear power cores with yet-unknown effects on life in the region. Official sources report more than 10,000 people dead and more than 500,000 homeless, but as of today the concrete number of victims is still unknown. (more)

Status Update on DEVONthink To Go

March 4, 2011

It’s been a while since we released an update for DEVONthink To Go. A developer left our company, slowing down our development pace. We have now taken up again on it and have already seeded version 1.1 to our beta team. Version 1.1, which we hope to submit to Apple in about two weeks, will include e.g. the possibility to record voice and video notes, show labels and flags in all lists, and fix a large number of reported bugs.

Clip to DEVONthink Updated — Firefox Inclusive

August 16, 2010

We have just updated the Clip to DEVONthink Safari extension and bookmarklet to version 1.1. The new version fixes a number of bugs, e.g. adding parts of the bookmarklet code when printing a web page as well as a bug preventing log-ins to password-protected web sites. If Safari does not offer you the update, please visit the Download Extras page and download the latest version. The bookmarklet is always loaded ‘live’ and so up-to-date when you use it the next time. (more)

Thank You for Helping Us Help

August 12, 2010

In January DEVONtechnologies has joined the efforts of many independent software companies to help the victims of the earthquake that destroyed most of Haiti’s infrastructure on January 12, 2010, and made tens of thousands of people homeless. This week we have received a letter from Doctors Without Frontiers that I would like to share with you as it were the software licenses you purchased in January that enabled us to help. Thank you!

And Another One …

February 25, 2011

… hits the Mac App store: EasyFind. It was a bit more struggle to get EasyFind through Apple’s review than DEVONnote but some minor changes did the trick. Click here or the icon to the right to download and install EasyFind with a single click from the Mac App Store. (more)

DEVONthink To Go 1.0 Beta 5 Seeded

June 30, 2010

A while ago I posted an article about our forthcoming iPhone application. Since then we worked in stealth mode on finishing the app and optimizing it for iOS 4.0, the iPhone 4, and the larger user interface of the iPad (which we finally received also here in Europe where I am living). On the iPad it’s truly a ‘DEVONthink that you can touch’. Absolutely cool. See yourself: … (more)
