There's a minor incompatibility that keeps the application's splash screen from being closed. You can expect a free maintenance update for DEVONagent that addresses this issue later this month. The upcoming macOS Catalina as well as iOS 13 were about to bring many changes to how the directories on the hard drive are structured as well as to how iCloud is integrated into the file system. macOS Catalina is going into a new round of public beta testing and is expected to arrive for everyone this autumn. It brings changes to iTunes, Find My Friends, and Reminders, but also a lot of modifications to the underpinnings. Today is macOS Mojave day. And while DEVONthink 2.10.1 is working fine on Apple's latest incarnation of the Mac operating system, the new security measures do interfere with DEVONthink Pro Office's Mail plugin. According to TechCrunch, ABBYY, the maker of the OCR technology we use in DEVONthink Pro Office, had accidentally exposed more than 200,000 OCRed customer documents.
This leak, however, does not affect you as our customer. All documents are processed locally on your Mac by the ABBYY OCR engine. Your documents only leave your computer when you manually export or send them, or when you synchronize them to a remote location. (more)
Due to a server update our decluttering service no longer worked since last Thursday. The service is used by our Clip to DEVONthink extension on Mac and iOS for capturing articles from web pages without ads and other chrome. The issue is fixed and clipping web pages should work again now. We apologize for the inconveniences.
Yesterday DEVONthink began to no longer launch for some people. The issue is related to an expired Apple provisioning profile and already hit many other applications earlier this year. Apple now provides profiles with a longer life period. This doesn't do away with the problem forever but at least delays its next occurrence. (more)
